Japanese Food Festival 2026 — Familiar Faces, Carried by Family
Our second time at the Japanese Food Festival in Zürich Oerlikon. A reunion with regulars — and a thank you to my family, who stepped in when I couldn't.
Our second time at the Japanese Food Festival in Zürich Oerlikon — and this time with the quiet pleasure of arriving where, last year, we had only just begun. The hall was full again, the interest in Japanese food culture in Switzerland once again remarkable.
The best part of returning: familiar faces. Customers who had tried their first sip of Gyokuro with us last year came back — this time with more specific questions, with focused wishes, some already with an order they had prepared before the festival even began. That quiet growth from acquaintance to regular customer is one of the most beautiful gifts an event like this can give.

But more than the teas themselves, something else took the foreground this year: my family. On two of the three festival days I couldn't be on site myself. Without the determined support of my brothers, my parents and sister in law — who stepped in, told the stories, and stood at the booth with the same devotion I would have brought myself — this event simply would not have been possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

It is moments like these that remind us why VestaTea began as a family project — and why it will always remain one.
See you next year.
