Cultivated in the misty mountains of Anji County in Zhejiang Province, this elegant Anji Bai Cha is crafted from the renowned Bai Ye No.1 cultivar — a rare tea variety celebrated for its pale jade leaves and exceptionally refined character. Despite its name, Anji Bai Cha is not a white tea, but one of China’s most prized green teas. During the cool spring season, the young leaves temporarily develop their famous light coloration, resulting in unusually high amino acid content and a remarkably soft, sweet cup. Carefully handpicked in early spring, this tea offers a graceful and refreshing profile with notes of steamed sweet corn, fresh orchids and tender bamboo shoots. The liquor is silky and smooth with very low bitterness and a lingering creamy sweetness that unfolds gently across the palate. Its refined balance and delicate elegance make Anji Bai Cha one of the most approachable yet sophisticated Chinese green teas.
