This Ali Shan Osmanthus Oolong is a rare and elegant scented tea, crafted from the celebrated Qing Xin Wu Long cultivar grown at 1500m in Taiwan's famed Alishan mountain range. High elevation, cool mist, and mineral-rich soil give this oolong its signature clarity, softness, and depth. What makes this tea truly special is its natural scenting process. Rather than adding aromas after the fact, the freshly processed oolong is layered with fresh osmanthus blossoms during drying, exchanged multiple times so the leaves absorb the delicate floral aroma slowly and completely. A small amount of dried osmanthus remains mixed with the finished tea. The bright green rolled leaves release a rich fragrance of high mountain oolong intertwined with sweet osmanthus blossoms. The liquor pours a luminous golden hue, opening with a vivid osmanthus aroma layered over the fresh scent of petrichor in a mountain forest. On the palate, the tea is smooth and refined, with floral notes of osmanthus, orchid, and longan blossom giving way to the unmistakable character of high mountain Alishan oolong.
