Shanlin Xi Jasmine Oolong is a hand-picked premium high mountain Oolong from the renowned Shanlin Xi region of Taiwan, traditionally scented with fresh jasmine blossoms to create an elegant and beautifully balanced tea experience. To achieve its refined floral aroma, the tea undergoes an exceptionally time-consuming traditional scenting process. Fresh jasmine blossoms are layered with the tea leaves six separate times. After each scenting cycle, the spent blossoms are carefully removed and replaced with newly opened flowers. Through this meticulous method, the tea leaves naturally absorb the delicate fragrance of jasmine without the use of artificial flavoring, resulting in a remarkably pure, soft, and authentic floral character. As soon as the package is opened, an elegant jasmine aroma gently rises from the leaves — fresh, calming, and naturally floral. Beneath the blossoms, the signature character of Shanlin Xi Oolong remains beautifully present, with its refined mountain freshness and subtle forest-like depth. The first infusion highlights the harmony between the tea and the flowers. The smooth, high mountain Oolong base reveals notes of fresh alpine greenery and soft woodland nuances, followed by a graceful jasmine finish that feels light, natural, and perfectly integrated. With the second infusion, the floral character becomes even more expressive. The aroma resembles jasmine flowers blooming directly within the teacup, while remaining elegant and never overly sweet or perfumed. Despite the intense floral fragrance, the tea retains the complexity and structure of the underlying Shanlin Xi Oolong, including its rich Hui Gan — the lingering sweetness and cooling sensation that remains on the palate long after each sip. In later infusions, delicate notes of green apple and fresh orchard fruit begin to emerge, adding brightness and elegance to the tea. The jasmine becomes softer and more refined with each round, creating an increasingly smooth, layered, and tranquil tea experience.
